We are seeking passionate and skilled Orton-Gillingham practitioners to join our growing team. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive space where children can work on and progress in their areas of challenge, helping them overcome reading difficulties and develop strong foundational skills. As we expand our services, we look for talented educators who are committed to unlocking the potential of young learners through the Orton-Gillingham approach.

 

 

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide 1:1 or small group literacy instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach.

- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s specific needs.

- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to ensure success.

- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance.

- Collaborate with other educators and support staff as necessary.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Certified Orton-Gillingham practitioners (or equivalent credentials in a similar structured literacy program).

- Experience working with students with dyslexia or other learning differences.

- Strong understanding of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patient, flexible, and adaptable to meet individual student needs.

- Experience with virtual tutoring platforms (if applicable).

 

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degrees in education, special education, or related fields.

- Prior teaching or tutoring experiences, especially with elementary-aged students.
